Maybe they can flavor the trileptal? I know they do that for most children's meds. And definitely look into the depakote and tegretol sprinkles! I'm trying to remember, but I think I had a client whose son took them w/applesauce or ice cream. Most of his meds though were through a G-tube :(

Subject: [epilepsy] Refusing meds
My daughter Erika (4) has started to refuse her meds. She is currently on Trileptal 300mg/5ml twice a day. THANKFULLY, I have not seen any seizure activity other than her occasional absent seizures. Do any of you all know of any chewables meds? She has been on Tegretol and that was a nightmare!!
Amanda, mom to Erika 4, EP since 3wks old
