Hi Amanda, I am guessing Erika is on the liquid Trileptal since you said
ML?? Our daughter was too from 17 months till about 4 yrs. It is probably
yucky tasting and we also had control issues when we got near the end of the
bottle. Surpising she was able to swallow the little pills with no trouble
and "liked" being treated like a big girl with the pills. This brought about
better seizure control for her too.
Her Trileptal is a small pill to begin with and fortunately it is easily
broken / cut in half.
Maybe your Dr could get you a prescription in pill form to try.

I do not know about any chewables, but both Depakote and Topomax come in
sprinkles. Sometime during the day, when things are calm and it's not
time to take her meds, I would ask her why is doesn't want to take
them. It may be a number of things, from a control issue to the fact
that she knows they make her feel weird. Find out form her because it
might an issue you can resolve more easily then doing a med change.

Trileptal 300mg/5ml twice a day. THANKFULLY, I have not seen any seizure
activity other than her occasional absent seizures. Do any of you all know
of any chewables meds? She has been on Tegretol and that was a nightmare!!
