Re: [epilepsy] Need help - sorry so long

Hi Jan,

Welcome to our group.

I had migraines every 2 weeks about 30 - 37 years ago before my divorce.
The only time I threw up was when I made myself do so.

My szs also changed. When I was diagnosed (DX) 48 years ago I had
grand mal szs. About 15 years ago they changed to more like complex
partials-- where I was always conscious. My girls tell me that my brain is
scrambled for about 2 days. Then like you switch on a light -- I am OK again

I have been on Dilantin and Phenabarb for over 20 years. My last sz was 4
years ago and before that it was 4 years. I have been fortunate in not having
szs often.

What kind of tests has he had? Because of your detailed account -- I am
assuming that you are keeping a diary of his szs, vomiting, length of time etc.
If you aren't -- I suggest you do. It may give you a clue and also help the Drs.

Has his blood been tested to see if he is over medicated?

Millie
