Re: [epilepsy] extended release taken twice as often

Timothy,

I was on the regular Keppra 2,000mgs for years, but when the Keppra XR came
out I was switched to it. I could tell a difference in them. I took 1,000
mgs in the morning and 1,000mgs at night of the regular and I got the
neurologist to cut it down some. He cut the dosage in half when I started
taking the XR kind.I done better when the dose was lowered. I still have
seizures every now and then, and my neurologist is wanting to change my
meds, because it is not helping the way he wants it to be.The Keppra XR
seems stronger than the regular did, for me I didn't need as much of it.
Hope this helps.

Tammy
