Re: [epilepsy] chiropractic help?

Hey, Carla. :)

I assume she has had CT/MRI on her head if they're looking at surgery? If not,
that should be the first order of biz. I would also get the neck included to
check for abnormalities that can contribute to szs, such as Chiari (herniated
cerebellar tonsils). Chiari will actually get worse with chiro, so it's a good
idea to check.

Good luck!

Subject: [epilepsy] chiropractic help?

Hi all - I am a long time member on behalf of my daughter - still haven't gotten
her signed up on this but soon. She is to stage with her seizures that they are
looking at surgery but still trying to pinpoint specific area - they have done
week-long monitoring and gotten good footage, did the test where they insert
through groin and do dye reading, and now want to do test (sorry, I am at loss
right now for the specific names) where they drill 3 holes and put down a few
electrodes to try to pinpoint - not mapping yet.

I have tried to research chiropractic and the only place I find positive notes
lead back to chiropractors or Palmer College of Chiropractic. But her boyfriend
is trying to talk her out of any more surgery and doing the chiropractic route.
We have tried it for a few months and not seen any big differences. Anyone ever
have or hear of anyone having luck with chiropractic helping with epilepsy?

Carla
