In terms of AEDs Keppra does have a pretty short half life in the
body. Things like depakote build up in the blood stream, and even if
you miss a dose, there is a residual amount of depakote that still
remains in the blood stream. In contrast, Keppra gets broken down and
leaves the blood stream rather quickly. That's probably what the
doctor was talking about.
