[epilepsy] DMV

 

                        Dear Sarah,
                Hello my name is Marty. I am 50 yrs. old.  I've had seizures since age 7.I have never driven at all.  I have road a mountain bike all my life, but now get public transportation.  Recently I had gone 3 months with no seizures.  Though this past weekend I had 4 in two days .  I fell really bad on the first one and I would of had a head injury if my wife wasn't there to help me.  Seizures are very unpredictable.  Even going to work on mt bike I had a few bad ones and by-passer's were nice o catch me and sit me down.  In my state your not allowed to drive unless you go 3 yrs. without a seizure.   So talk it over good with your doctor and family.
