Re: [epilepsy] vns

I have a VNS attached to my Vagus Nerve. You get a magnet with it and rub it over it when you feel like you are going to have a seizure. It helps stop the seizure. The neurologist has to set it to come on every so often to help control the seizures. My neurologist is still working to get mine adjusted. I had it put in about 2 years ago. I still have a seizure every now and then, but not like I did before I got it. When I got it put in, it took a little time to get used to it, because it can make your voice sound hoarse. It should eventually go away. It doesn't bother me anymore. Hope this helps you. If you need anything else, just ask.
