Tammy,
I did this with my cat, but by accident. Since I've had her, she gets a treat when I wake up in the morning to go to work. 11 years later, I don't have to set an alarm, because she wants her treats. She also will wake me up if I nap too long on the weekends so I eat dinner (even though she has already been fed).

That is a brilliant idea! Or would it just be one more thing my daughter would have to remember to do? Take pills, cottage cheese dog....... :) No seriously, I do think that is a great idea.
