Hi there i have been on keppra for over 4years then the generic called levetiracetam came out an was switched.i dont have insurance so i didnt have a choice but there hasn't been any side efficts.i live in tenn an since i had a low income i was able to get it for $50 from a patient assatant program called RX outreach.There r many different programs out there to help with cost for anything medical.its just time comsuming and a fassle.Hope this helps an some way

Yes my daughter was forced to go through the use of generic Keppra from
brand name and it *didn't* work for her.  She had to go through the brand
name Rx approval process with her Medicaid provider Rx co and Indiana
Medicaid.  Keep in mind everyone's case is individual.  -Dani's Dad
