RE: [epilepsy] some thing interesting happening with tegretol

 

Hi guys

I have just had surgery on my sinuses, something interesting
is happening, I am not having any pain, I phoned the
epilepsy action and it is a fact that tegretol stops facial
pain, with the surgery I had, I had my tubes cleaned out,
that's putting it nicely, it was treatment to remove
infections, I should be having bad pains, has anyone else
had this before, not the treatment but found that the
tegretol stops the pain? I am only pleased that it is so
because I don't think I could cope with the pain other wise
but I am amazed.

Usually sleep with a heat pack on my head, with some Advil
helps.

Do you by chance find anything which helps with the
headaches which follow seizures? I am on Lamictal but when a
seizure occurs, I am given Lorazepam too. It really helps in
that it makes me sleep, however it is still awhile before
healache canges. It's been five hours now, wonder how much
longer.
Thanks for you time to read this and maybe share your
treatment of the headache.
