Re: [epilepsy] Re: Getting your Memory Back

Donna, I don't even think the doctors do either sometimes. No matter how you try to describe it to them, most
have never been through it so unless it is something they read in their journals they just don't know and
throw it under the carpet. When I was really bad with the short memory span to the point I knew what you were
saying while speaking, but the moment you stopped only a word or parts or words were recalled. Therefore I
knew what they said but to answer was a bunch of hebe-jebe. Doctors could not figure out and thought I was
deaf and sent me to a specialist who was wanting to operate. Thank God I said a big no to that.

I know what you are going thru I am still going thru it for 20 years now I am 44 now & have yet to find a way
to stop/reverse or fix this problem I even asked specialists till no avail. Makes it even more frustrating
when I write things down so I don't forget but I end up forgetting to look in the calendar/journal unless I
program it in my cellphone calendar to ring as a remind I forget. And, no one seems to understand what we are
going thru, as I kinda joke 'with each seizure another brain cell gets fried'.

Best of luck

Donna from NH
