Hey everyone, my name is Alyssa and I am 17 years old. I have been in this group for a while, but I have never introduced myself or posted anything. I had my first seizure when I was almost 15, but I didn't have another one for a year so I was told it was due to poor nutrition. When I was 16 I had another seizure in class, and started having seizures almost daily. I was diagnosed with generalized epilepsy and my seizures range from absents, which are rare, to grand-mals. I still haven't really found a medicine that works great but my seizures have been reduced from everyday to about once a week. My doctors still think that my seizures are caused from something other than genetics, but we have no idea what. I just wanted to introduce myself, since I read other posts but have never really been a part of this group. =]
