Hi Megan's Mom,
I had a grandmal at 15 months old, my next seizure that I know of was a few months after graduating high school, it was a grand mal. In short, what happened was I went into a grand mal, rolled off the couch to the floor and my Mom called an ambulance. Brought by ambulance to the hospital, went home with both my parents.
Now, from my memory and sight, this is what I can tell you from my so called memory (smile)! Have a snap shot image of being in a stretcher tied down being carried up the stairs from the basement to the living room. Another snapshot image in my mind on the driveway being taken to the ambulance. Then a snapshot picture trying to sit up looking out the back door of the ambulance (I knew that specif point where we where by the road). I was quickly pushed down. The next thing I knew I was laying in the emergency room with my parents each on a different side of me. Quickly hearing the words "you can take him home now". Then walked out with both my parents to go home. I remember my Mom saying as we sfepped outside she thought I was having a seizure. I could see my Mom was very shaken in a way I never saw her before. I didn't know what she meant by saying that word. I was wondering what the heck happened! Went home and that is my entire memory of the day my life changed.
I watched the video this morning. From the very beginning of the video, I was overtaken by it because of memories of that grand mal event back in 1975. Take care, keep a smileon your face!

Megan remembers absolutely nothing for a short period before, all during and some period after a tonic clonic. One is unconscious during a tonic clonic, so how can anyone relate what it's like for the person? I can certainly understand that people who have partial seizures could describe what they experience, but ......
