One way for this to happen is through muscle gain.  If you're working out you can be loosing inches and not weight because muscle weighs more than fat.  Namaste!  Pamela

I did try to google this.. but what the hell happens to the body to cause loss of inches/fat while maintaining weight?

Happy New Year and congrats on keeping to your schedule. You're still on track. 24 days is 3.4 weeks, so the predictable weight loss at this point would be 3.4 pounds, but I encourage people not to even start looking for weight loss until they're three weeks into the program (past the adaptation stage). Even then, weight doesn't come off steadily -- it levels, drops, levels and drops. The pound-per-week average isn't something seen every week, but over several weeks, it is usually about that or better.

If you keep it up, I suspect you'll see another drop soon, though probably not as big as the first one. Some clues that a drop may be coming soon (these are reported, but not everyone has the same patterns)

- clothing fitting more loosely
- more noticeable hunger compared to the usual
- skin over fat areas feels looser or warm

There have been a few people who had to switch to Fast-5 plus low carb to see weight loss, and many combine the two for faster loss, but the majority have not needed to do so to see weight loss.

I hope others will add to this with his/her personal experience.

Does this mean it isn't really as simple as the instructions say? Do I really need to start paying attention to carbs again or calories again or is this a normal amount of time to hit a plateau for this early in the process? If I just stick with it do you think it will start dropping again?
