[fast5] Re: Why no recent discussions?

I'm still here.  But really I don't have much to say.  You don't eat for 19 hours, then you eat reasonable amounts of nutritious food for 5 hours.  Repeat.  :)  That's the beauty!

I do recall when this group lost it's "zeal".  There was a member who completely loved low carb and he would make, uhh, forceful comments to prove his point of view.  Well, finally several people had had enough, an argument ensued, and the list was quiet for several weeks.  It never recovered.

I still get notifications from Yahoo when people post here so I'm always available.  And I still think about most of the people that I met who helped me when I was first starting and wonder how they're doing.  I tried Facebook Fast-5 but it seemed at the time that everyone was making Fast-5 more complicated than it needed to be so I scurried off to my simpler life.

So I'm still doing it during the work week (five days a week) but usually not on weekends.  From this group I've learned that you don't need to eat three squares a day.  If you miss a meal or two, you'll just be a bit better off and no harm has been done.  No breakfast, No problem (should be a t-shirt).

My wife has decided to do 5:2 intermittent fasting and she has lost thirty pounds and looks FANTASTIC!  Her hormonal issues are gone and she has no aches or pains anymore when she runs.  I've thought about trying 5:2 but on the two fasting days I would miss my glass or two of wine too much.  :)

I wanted to thank Dr Herring for the work he's put in.  It really has changed my life for the better.
