Marty, thanks for your story.
Thanks also for asking where the group was--I didn't know either. I did ask to join the group, but my membership is apparently still pending. Alas.
I loved the stories and advice people shared here, and got some excellent advice for my own situation. I hope that once I'm on the FB group, there'll be a lot of the same. It was great.
Congratulations on all the weight you lost. I never was able to lose all the weight I wanted to on Fast 5, but I suspect that has a lot to do with the fact that a) I didn't eat a high-quality diet when I was doing it, and b) one cheat would bring down the whole house of cards for me, and I found it incredibly hard to get back on the wagon. Once I did, of course, I felt marvelous and was almost never hungry--my appetite decreased enormously, even within my window, and I was always perfectly satisfied with the amount of food I ate. But if I ever ate outside my window, after being accustomed to eat only during my window, it blew the whole thing.
That was tough. So I was never on it long enough to drop all those pounds, though I found that going from eating traditionally to Fast-5, I could be sure of losing about 20 pounds right away. That was a huge boost.
I too want to go back to it--I think it's the best control for my appetite and a great discipline. That's one of my goals for this fall. (I remember being very much on Fast-5 a few years ago during the holidays, ate anything I wanted during my window--but never too much--lost weight during that very tricky time of year and never once felt deprived. It was AMAZING!)
Looking forward to the FB group and to the inspiration I got from other members here. It really helped keep me on my own path.
Susan
