... very cool, thanks sis *:x lovestruck

Prince has landed at Carnegie Hall. Well, he's not performing at New York's most prestigious music venue but his music will be celebrated there on March 7.

It's the ninth annual edition of a tribute series staged by New York promoter Michael Dorf, who has presented similar all-star celebrations of the music of the Rolling Stones, the Who, Joni Mitchell, Elton John and Bruce Springsteen, among others.
Past performers have included Jackson Browne, Steve Earle, Rickie Lee Jones and Marianne Faithfull.

Organizers will be announcing the Prince lineup "soon."
The series is a fundraiser for various New York music-related charities
.
At past tributes, some honorees, including Springsteen and R.E.M., have performed during the encore. Simon & Garfunkel attended but didn't sing.

Will Prince show up? It might depend on who's doing his music. You never know with the mysterious Minnesotan.
Meanwhile, tickets – priced from $48 to $10,000 -- for the Prince salute are on sale at www.carnegieprince.com.
