Subject: [epilepsy] Experience with being conscious during a tonic-clonic/grand mal seizure?
My girlfriend has has epilepsy for over 10 years with grand
mal/tonic-clonic seizures. Tonight she was completely conscious during the
seizure and was able to feel the entire thing. Was only the second one in
her life she has had like this, all others she is unconscious for. Does
anyone know anything about this? She recovered, and responsive, etc...all
that good stuff..though in severe pain, but not quite sure why one would
come on like this...
Any experience shared would be nice...
Georgia
