Re: [epilepsy] Topamax

Elizabeth,
Is verbal-memory loss related to the inability to produce words after it was
finally remembered? Is it the brains inability to send that word to the voice box
instantly just after memory took so long to find it.On the day of my left
temporal lobectomy I was warned of a possible loss of this and I didn't know of
its meaning then or now,Topamax wasn't my cause. Tim Baldwin

I hated Topamax! It causes memory loss (short-term) and it causes problems with
word finding. You also have to be careful long-term with glaucoma issues. I
stopped it because of the word finding problems. You can only say "uhhh" so
often!

Hope this helps!
