Susan, Megan had serious side effects of anger and aggression on Keppra, and
even with a combination of 8000 mg of Keppra and 700 lamictal, it did not
control her seizures. Everyone is different. We went back to depakote for Megan
(she's 22) with much better results and really no side effects, although we are
very conscious of the potential side effects to the baby should she decide to
have one. She is currently on 1000 mg of Depakote at night and 50 mg of
Topiramate twice a day.
