Hi Kate,
I feel for you with the difficulty and Lamictal. I have been
on the for years (at least 8) and I do not take genetic. Sometimes
the genetic does not work as accurately as the regular and doctor
advised not to make that change. It cost $360- a month. Since my
coverage is from Medicare, I reach the limit by September and must then pay the full amount myself. I take two 200mg daily. Do
you work or not? I did not work and happened to hear the mention of disability coverage for epilepsy on the radio. I applied for this and I was able to get it. When you become older, it changes to Medicare and it is a larger amount that you would usually get monthly with the Medicare since you have been on it awhile and always get the increases as they come with time. If you follow this up, good luck.

It caused my vision to go blurry, me to forget words, not to be able to move my head, severe neck pain and stiffness as soon as I upped the dose the 2nd level- before even reaching therapeutic levels. I switched to generic Keppra (not XR) which my insurance will cover. Its ok, but it makes me sleepy and forgetful- which I'd take over the other side effect.
