[epilepsy] Re: Modified Atkins Diet -Seizure Control

 

Gina, I have a daugther who has seizures too. I had a lot of questions when she started two years ago so I looked into info and learned a little about the diet. I think John Hopkins Univ. started it. It does work for some people and it can be hard on kids, but if your Neuro is suggesting it, then it might be worth a try. I think I read that kidney stones are a side effect and that the child has to fast before starting it. Let us know what happens please :)
