Re: [epilepsy] A question about Transportation

        Hello,
Here in our state of Ma. .  The State transportation is only for Md. appointments.  I am blind so I get volunteers from the Ma. Association from the Blind in my area.  They take me sometimes to the doctors also.  I personally do not like the States transportation.  I have been left hanging out in left field not picked up forgotten  about.  Even with a cell phone calling way to Pittsfield Ma. When it is -20 degrees out too!  So I rely on the MAB association to take me.
We do have vans too here and you pay $5.00 a trip each way, but then again you have to call and wait for them to come and get you and they are not on time always too.  I have never tried them at all in my 30 yrs of being blind and having seizures.

Transportation is not free to those on disability around our area Tristate
Oh/IN/Ky.   My daughter Danielle receives SS/SSI/Food Stamps/Medicaid and
pays for all her transportation except to MD appointments where Medicaid
covers.  She volunteers 2 days a week at a food pantry and pays $1.50 each
way to go about 5 miles.  When she lived at home with me she paid $5.50 each
way to go about 11 miles.
