Hi,

B-12 isvery interesting. It is getting a lot of focus now.  I am a on this listas I am a parent of a young adult who has autism and seizures.  There aremany neurological issues in our family.  Anyway, I have 2 autoimmunedisorders (rheum arthritis and Sjogren's).  I also have migraines andperipheral neuropathy PN from Sjogren's not diabetes.  I like to getpeople aware of Sjogren's as it is a very common autoimmune disorder andpeople/ doctors don't know about it.

Anyway,I started having very major problems with my PN and was unable to wear shoessince the fall.  I had terrible foot pain and couldn't stand to haveanything touch the back of my foot/ heel/ ankle. It took months and finally inJan, it was only by God's grace with a Google search while looking for backlessshoes that I found an article that answered what was going on with my feet.

I fearedbouncing from doctor to doctor (neurologist, podiatrist, rheumatologist) intrying to sort this out. My problems started 2 months after I was advised toreduce the amount of B-12 I had been taking. Again thank God, thepodiatrist was extremely helpful.  I showed her my research and she said Iwas completely right. She printed out a Merck's info

There was no toxicity level for B-12

Bottomline- B-12 is a major player in neurological issues.  Medications, medicalconditions (autoimmune disorders), digestive issues (changes in your stomachacids if you take antacids, medications for heartburn or over the countertreatments for heartburn, if you had bariatric surgery) -alter your how yourbody absorbs, or doesn't absorb B-12.
