Just for clarification, That Tuberculosis test is not related to her TSC Tuberous sclerosis but we did find reports on people developing Epi within days after getting the Tubercullin test. I just seemed really odd that it all woke up right after that test though.

My child began seizing at 17 month olds, shortly after being tested for Tuberculosis. After days in intensive care it was discovered that she has a gene defect called Tuberous Sclerosis Complex which is also the reason she is Autistic. www.TSAlliance.com Tubers in brain emit chemicals that that trigger seizures. 70 / 30 ratio on inherited gene defect from a parent but none of us have it. In her case it was “in her when born” but many get seizures later in life from head traumas, other conditions like Diabetes etc. There is also “idiopathic” Epi which means doctors have no idea why.

I have no idea why I have epilepsy. I was 23 or 24 when I had my first seizure. I was hiking with a group of friends. My legs gave out and I had to 'straddle' a friend to continue and the next thing I knew the ambulance had come.
EEG shows an both sides of the brain are abnormal. I guess that means they were always that way and I have no idea why it showed up as an adult.
Life goes on. At 41 (about a year ago) I go fibromyalgia as well.
I'd much rather have my seizures less controlled than fibromyalgia, which is sort of controlled. I also deal with other things too. I think I'm not the only one with epilepsy not being the only health problem though and for some of us the health problems are related, but for some like myself they aren't.
