Hi,
Regarding the fact the activity might be slow here is probably because the group has been around a long time. Over that time, people get different email addresses and never change the it to access the group so that account becomes dormant. Or they just don't use email for whatever reason which also renders the account dormant (especially Yahoo and similar email accounts). Those members are said to become "bouncing" members, or at lease they don't access the messages by their email. I group I moderate (also around a long time) has 209 members with 69 of those bouncing. The nature of the reason it exists is that some people will have died, though mostly I don't get to actually know. However I can't bring myself to remove the bouncing members as they may still be around.
Regarding cause of epilepsy, from what I gather, many times it is without cause, or at the very least undiscovered. Sometimes the smallest lesion in the brain might be responsible - too small even to see by the latest imaging techniques. Sometimes it can be due to a small benign tumour which has no other effect than to cause epilepsy in the person.
I didn't 'get' epilepsy until I was 21. But the only other episode earlier than that was when I was in primary school. I was seem to look vacant in school assembly, so I was brought home by the headmaster. After 21 I was fully controlled quite quickly until I was about 37. It has defied all attempts at good control and certainly never full since then. No bangs to the head I can recall other than childhood knocks.

thou I've noticed the activity here is slow: but the list group has: over 900-members? right.
well: thanks for replying - you did make-me think of something that I will track back, and check with my doctor on or if it maybe a cause-that led to the epilepsy happening..
