Thank you so much for getting back to me Pat. Yes, I get the moodiness or sometimes hyper. Interesting enough I wasn't aware the hyperness can be contributed to a warning before a seizure. If nothing can be done to prevent the behavior changes I wonder if seizure medication can "possibly" make it worse? I gained nothing but more problems on any seizure medication I tried through out the years. Thank goodness for our pocketbook that my Neurologists had sample packs so I didn't waste numerous prescriptions.
What type of seizures does your Daughter suffer from and how often does she get them?
Many blessings,
Lynn :)

Hi Lynn, YES! We see it in our daughter, 10 yrs old. It comes both in the
"bitchy moody" and or the extra happy hyper mode, sometimes it seems to
build for 1-2 days. Bang she'll seize and be a happy normal self again the
next day. I liken to watching a storm build up inside her brain. If only I
could figure out how to calm that energy b4 it "explodes". Attended a
conference on Depression and Anxiety in Epilepsy and learned it was known as
Pre-Ichtal Depression & Mania. Not much can be done about it according to
that doctor except to recognize it a and avoid other triggers.

Does any one else get very agitated and moody prior to auras or a seizure?
Many Blessings,
