They do pay for it. It's possible your Part D plan does not cover it, or requires a Prior Authorization. The other issue with Part D plans and AED's, they may only cover the generic, so you'll need to get a PA if you can only take the brand.

If you have your Part D book, it should list all of the medications covered by your plan.
