Hi Dale(?),
My husband doesn't know he is having a seizure at the time of the seizure. However he realises he's had a tonic clonic seizure whilst asleep when he wakes with a bitten or bruised tongue and a severe headache, along with muscle fatigue and overall aching.
He doesn't always know if he's had a complex partial though, as there are no specific physical symptoms that follow this. Sometimes he may feel a little 'fuzzy headed' when he wakes - not thinking quite clearly.
