I'm a instrumentalist (haven't played in awhile) and music lover, as you know, and I never really gave much validity to the Grammy's being something a artist should strive to receive. I don't believe any artist makes music to get some form of award, it's about art, self expression and GOD's gift to man, music and art but, I appreciate and like when they 'do' get so said award, such as a Grammy like Prince or Sheila E. we know they both do it for the 'Love' of making music.Peace, Love & Light [& Stay Funky] ...

Juan E. has been talking about this. There was also a petition out prior to the protest as well. I'm not sure what other E's were there. But, here's a link to the news story. (I haven't watched this link, just passing it along.)

Sheila E.'S father Pete, was on channel 7 news here in LA protesting against the Grammy awards for dropping 30 categories from the show including Latin Jazz.

Most likely, the whole family was there protesting but I could only saw Pete who they interviewed on camera.
