True ... I think there was an influence when it comes to some of the 'spoken word' P has done on his albums (in some songs).

Dead at 62, I can't help but think that Prince was an admirer. He did the song "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised."

In the Prince song "The War" there are some pretty similar things going on. I'd like to thank Prince and the NPG who sent me that promo tape and express my sorrow at the loss of another influential musician.
