Would you belive me if I told you at my younger years I 1 day changle myself to walk a long distance & the day I did that I walked 50 miles in 22 &1/2 hours? that day I walked from my home in Worcester to Fitchberg & back. I still go for long walks but NOT that far. I enjoy going for long walks & still do at least 3 to 5 days a week. Even though I have a hip that gives out ever so offten I still go for these long walks.. Unless I have mulitive things I need to do in a short time then I walk everywhere.

It seems like I've been dieting most of my adult life-- off and on.
I know what to do -- I just don't do it. --Like eat the correct foods
and exercise.

When I saw my Dr. back in March after I spent 3 days in the hospitar. I asked him if they still use the formuule & he told yes as a starter dose, & that's what I was discribeing in my 1st posting. Do you get a WARNING befor you have a SEIZURE? I do & when I'm not at home & I'm out where I'm at work or any other place that I'm a member of they are made aware that I'm about to have a SEIZURE because I give a finger snap & the person will see me point to them & them I bring my thumb back pointed at me & they then they get prepare for when they have to help me while I'm in my SEIZURE & I only use they siignal for when I feel a SEIZURE comine on.

James,

Each person is different and just because Dilantin works for me
doesn't mean it will for anybody else. Your doctor can change the
dosage or put you on one of the other 25 different kinds of meds
they have now. So are you still on Dilantin? 1980 is 31 years ago
and lots of things have changed since then. And did you just lose
the weight now?

I live in Indiana and am 79. I was DX with EP 49 years ago. In
Indiana you can drive when your Doctor says it is OK --no time limit.
I see my Dr. twice a year and get my blood tested once a year.

Are you waiting to drive now?

Hello Millie:
The formal I posted was told to me back in 1980 at a hospital in the city where I live & it was just after my inpatient stay when I saw my Dr. & he confrimed that this is still being used as a started dose & as I was discharged they put me on 400mgs of Dilantin I'm happy to hear that its been 4yrs since your last SEIZURE. My last SEIZURE was on 4/ /11. How old are you? I don't know what state you live in but in Massachuetts you go 6months SEIZURE FREE you can appily for your driver's lincese if you have a note from your Dr.
