[epilepsy] Re:Landlord and sizures for housing.

Dealing with subsidized housing is easy.  If you are under city
housing or HUD Fed. government housing they can not discriminate with you at
all.  Let us face it I have dealt with housing since I got married some 18 yrs.
ago.  I am blind also.  So by no means they can discriminate id you have any
seizure .  I had one in my bathroom and got my foot caught between the door and
sink.  I had to have surgery and a accident report was done.  There was no
argument at all and they were there to support me all the way though it.  I have
even fallen in my shower once, bu it as not due to a seizure.  The traction on
the tub floor was worn down since it is a old building.  So they had to put a
rubber mat down and not in my place only.  they did it in all the apt. .

So if you have and disputes I would contact you State HUD housing by
email or snail  mail.   Even if it is city housing too.  In all they must meet
the needs for every disabilty as I have got three of them not only seizures.  My
place does when I ask and they do not delay it at all.  All they ask is to keep
you plaee neat and clean.  I have even been chsoen to show our apt. to the Fed.
hosusing group this week and it is neat and they are fixing al  minor things
that need fixing.

take care and wish you the best of luck.
