OK... I'm game

I have no BEST Prince concert experience...

I do have some highlights:

The last concert I've written about, Werchter... Singing Purple Rain is awesome when you do it in the rain, with puprle lights shining over you.

Years ago I brought my daughter (age 5, I think) and her teacher to Den Bosch or Breda, to see the Purple One's show. I can't remember which show it was.... (some one good at places and dates might know).
Because of traffic we were late.... and there was no place to sit.
Because Wendy Lisa (daughter) was young and small the teacher and me decided we would stand right before the raised stands.... If it would get tricky, we could at least secure her up and above. Right before the concert started a nice lady asked if we would not rather have Wendy sit on her lap, or at least stand before her, instead of on my shoulders... ofcourse I agreed full heartily... Experience of how Prince fans cooperate :-)

Other experience:
My wife was about 7 months pregnant... We had seen the show in Rotterdam, but it was cut short because of rain and thunder. The man actually slipped at one point.
After the tour Prince did an extra concert in Heereveen.... Hard to reach Heereveen with public transport... but we made it
No seats, but of course, without asking, she got a seat from another fan, when the show started :-)

Utrecht ?

It was (again) the last show of the tour. The review had said on the first show (beginning of the tour) that it was all jazzy and no singalong Prince hits. So I had forewarned the ppl I bought tix for....
He did one of those jazzy things.... abruptly ended.... and said something like.... "let's have some fun" and then did a whole show with singalongs...

Boston

At the age of at least 35 I was asked for an ID to get a beer.... thanks for the compliment.... I bought a tourbook, and promptly forgot it somewhere.... and obviously no alcohol to help me forget :-)
What surprised me there was a groundfull of people sitting down mostly... maybe that's the american way??? :-)

London

First show....
Great show....
When it was obviously over, I asked my daughter to not go out yet.... I had a small problem with my left leg, and I didn't feel like standing/shuffling in rows to get out....
We *were* quite close to the exit.
At least 30 % of the public was out when Prince appeared THROUGH the public, back to the stage.... The crowd was apperently holding back the band, so Prince started on his own with acoustic guitar, the band joing him later..... and loads of people trying to struggle to get back in :-)

Subject: [Prince-4ever] Best Prince cocncert experience.

Anita's facebook post got me thinking, about P cocnerts. So I thought it
would be nice to hear about other's P concert experiences.

If I had to choose my favorite P concert experience it would be a tie
between Muscicology or 3121. The 2 shows could not have been more
different, 3121 small and Intimate, Musicology a BIG, BAD Azz PARTY!!. They
were both awesome for so many different reasons. My seats for Musicology
were awesome, the tix said 3rd row but because of the way the stage was set
we were right up against the stage, no one but securtiy between us and the
stage. And then 3121, my husband took me for our Anniversary. We had
dinner in the restaurant before hand, a bottle of champagne at the venue,
the whole experience was beyond awesome. But I also rememebr having nose
bleed seats in San Jose for Musicology also. And the neatest part of that
was the Mother with her 2 boys, she was schooling them on Prince, and they
were loving it.

I agree with Nita "I'd rahter be at a Prince concert"
