I had it when we lived in Lewisville (Dallas) Texas also in Chickamauga
Georgia when we stayed with Michael's parents. Georgia was cool you did not
even need to fill out and application, you just called said you were
disabled or elderly and thy put you in the system.
Now we have it here in Austin Texas. They all have bus service for the city
but they have special smaller buses that do door to door service for the
elderly and disabled. Lewisville and Georgia it was five round trip. I have
not started the service here in Austin yet, as my old doctor in Georgia
filled out the application wrong and they turned me down. So I have an
appointment next Friday with my new doctor here and I am going to sit in
front of her and help fill it out so they don't turn me down this time.
I urge anyone who needs this service to call your town hall or clerks office
and cheek if they have anything like this. I know one lady who's town does
not but they do give Taxi Vouchers for so may free rides a month.
