[fast5] Re: type of diet followed during window

 

I pretty much eat whatever I want and have no idea how many calories I take in! In the 8 months I have been on Fast-5, I have lost about 35 lbs. I hit a plateau around the beginning of Jan, but in the last couple of days have hit new lows again by over a pound. So I still consider it a success. I am sure that cheating and business trips helped keep me on a plateau over the last couple of months, but I can't point to any specific changes that caused it or helped break through it.

Eating this way has somewhat changed what I feel like eating and others have reported the same thing. I probably eat about the same amount of protein than in the past, but eat less food overall. So that tips the ratios of where my calories are coming from as well as lowering them. I don't eat regular deserts (ice cream, cookies, etc.) as much as I used to, but having a "light" yogurt after a meal satisfies my desire for sweets.

However, if I start eating candy, I have trouble stopping. So I just don't start and without a craving, not starting is usually easy. But tomorrow is Easter and I know the bunny is coming ...
