Re: [epilepsy] where is everybody

Millie,
The most important thing is the timing of their saying"You had a seizure."There's a very good chance that you're still under or very slightly recovered. It's could be 15-125mins.before you can remember anything they're saying when you're post-ictal.That's why it's important that they tell or remind you later, but most people only think,"I already said that to them."But then how could you even ask for their memory of it,if you don't even remember having one.People should be taught that a convulsion is only one form of a seizure and most take other forms. And that it's not over as soon as the person looks to be regaining consciousness. And that they need give it to you in writting or at least tell you later on (hours-next day) of what they saw.Because you saw nothing of it and don't remembor having one. And the writing portion is important because,I and others living with brain confusion can't remember anything thats ever spoken to me very well, but
I can re and re-read to take it in.

Tim

Some type of recorder when you have a sz sounds like a good idea. I also don't know
when I have a sz. Someone has to tell me that I am not acting my usual self.

Everyone,
Take Vimpat & Keppra XR and I don't think I had any seizures this past weekend. March 11th was the last seizure that I'm aware of. But, there was likely to have been a few. I never know before hand during of after unless I was injured due to it. And most of the time if a witness tells me when I'm still in it (post-ictal) , that I just had a seizure; I don't remember it either. It seems useless to me unless people tell me or remind me later on and tell of exactly what they saw. I wish there was some type of recorder that could show all seizure activity and play back just the seizure moments. But I can remember a much smaller amount of e-mail.

I've been wondering the same thing. I used to get between 30 and 40 letters a day. Now
there are very few.

I have noticed that if someone asks a question or a topic-- more people get on and write.

Any ideas?

I hope they haven't gone to Face Book because I don't like it.
