Megan actually has to split her morning dose of Lamictal, as she
would get side effects of too much lamictal if she took both tablets
at the same time. She takes 200 when she gets up, 200 in the
afternoon and 400 at bedtime. She never seems to have trouble with
sleeping. BTW, the side effects she experienced when taking 400 mg in
the morning were some dizziness and nausea.
Doris, after Megan's terrible experiences with generic Lamictal, I
would recommend that you stick to the brand name if at all possible.
Megan would have symptoms of overdose in the morning and have
seizures before her evening dose was due. It was terrible. One the
generic, her side effects were much worse than for the brand name
drug, too.
