Welcome to the Group- I don't get on here alot but, I do a couple times a month w/ replys or questions myself. Anyways I just started taking Lamictal Early this past spring at 100mg 2 times a day and 750 mg of Keppra 2 times a day. I havn't noticed too much of a side effect problem but, I can say that the Lamictal I wish they would make it in capsule form casue it taste like crap-lol. But, I like the combination cause I have only had one seizure this year(thank goodness). It's the best I've been in almost 8 years. So I think your doctor has you on a good combination but, as everyone knows on here that each of us r different so you'll have to figure weigh your advantages and disadvantages to see whether or not you want your doc to keep you on them. I had my doc take me off of Phenobarbitol shortly after starting them because, I found out they were addicting and I have never been a pill popper so I didn't want the side effects. Especially if for some
reason I was to run out I did'nt want to be freaking out or something like that. But it's up to you and your doc to see what works for your type of situation.

Subject: [epilepsy] Keppra plus Lamictal
I'm wondering if any of you are taking this combination. I had gotten up to 3000 mg of Keppra a day and had to cut back due to side effects. Now I'm on a month trial of Lamictal starting at 25 mg a day and ending at 100 mg at the end of the trial. I have cut my Keppra back to 100 mg a day, so am on both. Have any of you been on this combination for an extended length of time. My seizures have felt slighter, but seems every time I think things are getting better, it turns around, so I don't know if this is temporary or not. Thanks, Corkie
