i think it depends on what state you are from. i get it and in california you can work and get ssi at the same time. it actually works out pretty good, you can earn up to 10 thous. a year and still get it. iff you have any questions, feel free to write to me.

I tried for disibilty for about 7yrs(with help from my dad for about 3 yrs cause I was under 18) and kept being denied. I finally got a lawyer then got it. I've had it now since 2002. Jamie
