[epilepsy] Re: I Don't Understand [Steve]



I think that you can have more than one type of seizure, but perhaps
not more than one kind of epilepsy. Megan has myoclonic and tonic
clonic, and has had an atonic seizure on one or two occasions. Her dx
is JME, a specific type of epilepsy characterized by particular brain
wave patterns. Can her JME diagnosis morph into a different dx? I
don't know, but I would think usually not.
