Re: [fast5] Fast-5 not working... does anyone have any tips?

Hang in there, Kristi. The science works.
but
Everyone is different.

D'uh, I know, but I am 64, always been very fit (am a sailor) but 'porked up' in the last 18 months as had a hip replacement & had gained about 14 lbs before I had the op. I lost 3 pounds the first week.  I simply started the 19 hrs fast from day one & I have been assiduous in observing the 19 hrs. Seven weeks in and I have now lost 9 lbs. including 2 'plateaus' where nothing was moving. I started off weighing myself everyday and think that's not a great idea. I now check the scales once week coz micro-managing this only leads to frustration.

I agree with Linda; look for your loss in measurements or how your clothes feel not just the scales. I'm a woman and believe me it is waaaay harder to lose at this age. But it is the best & easiest body-management routine I've ever tried. I eat everything  - wine included - during my break fast ( 6.30 - 10pm ) as I plan to just carry on like this as it really suits me.

So check the ebook for encouragement & know the science works.

The Ebook says not to expect weight loss until after 2 weeks so your body can adjust. Take your measurements. You will see inch loss even if the scale doesn't move. Just my experience.

I have been doing Fast-5 for 2 weeks with no weight loss. Does anyone have any ideas or tips to help?

I female, 5'3", and currently weigh 138. I am supposed to eat approx 1350 for weight loss, so I stay between 1250-1450 calories during my eating window. I stay away from sweets and empty calorie foods. I eat about 75 gm of protein per day. I workout (cardio and weight lifting) 5 days per week for 45-60 minutes.

On the bright side, I haven't gained any weight.
