When I was married I had Migraines every 2 weeks. I found that the sooner I emptied my stomach
the sooner the headache would go away. I made myself throw up. But they were NOT at the same time as
a sz. My husband (now ex) massaged my shoulders, neck and head and that helped.
One day after I was divorced I realized that I hadn't had a headache for a while. I haven't had a headache
of any kind now for over 35 years. (I've been divorced for 38 years. 2 of my girls and I think the pressures
of the marriage caused them. One daughter thinks I don't have them because my menopause is over.
Anyway -- I'm glad I don't have them anymore. I always would go upstairs away from the noise of kids and
the smell of food until the worse of it was over.-- which was usually about a day. My mother had a lot of
migraines. She also didn't eat but when she felt like throwing up-- she would heave and heave. I remember
holding her forehead while she heaved. She died when I was 11. She was 36.
A friend of mine also has migraines. I hadn't see her for a while and I asked her if she has migraines yet.
She said yes she did -- do I? I answered no. What did you do she asked. "I'm not married anymore".
She said,"I don't think I'll do anything that drastic".

Migraines are very painful and are not to be taken lightly. As a woman, I have had both types of pain and becoming moody has nothing to do with being in pain. In my opinion, your statement was very severe as.....I have never been "bitchy" during that time of the month as I have never been "bitchy" when experiencing migraine pain. In both situations, the person suffering needs only to rest quietly to diffuse the pain. Becoming moody is not a symptom or result of migraines or menstrual cramps. Please do not stereo-type.
