[epilepsy] Re: Employment Discrimination Case

I actually worked as a party chef for 12 years fora catering company and they knew the whole time I had seizures. Then the owner finally purchased health insurance for the company and suddenly my hours dropped to below 30/wk even though it was the holidays where I  normally work 40-50/wk.  I went to his office and he actually had the self righteousness to believe he had every right to drop my hours, as he said; "because the insurance company would increase his rates if he had an epileptic on the list so I had to not work enough hours to qualify"  I was stunned and angry to the point that I never stepped up to sue him.  A few months ago I applied to be the chef for a new pizzeria.  We met 3 times and I left feeling I had the job.  The only problem was that I informed them of my condition during the last interview.  2 hours later I received a call telling me that they felt I was "Overqualified" for the job.  SamJr.
