Fairfax, VA (October 25, 2011) -- The Original 7ven, the band formerly known as The Time, has been selected to kick off this year's Soul Train Awards with an outrageously funky performance simulcast on both BET and Centric on November 27 at 9ET/PT. One of the most dynamic live bands to ever take the stage, the Original 7ven will open the show with an extended medley of hits including their latest sizzler, "#Trendin," and will return at various times later in the show, including a hilarious skit and to introduce a very special guest. "#Trendin," called a "…funk-fueled jam that's right on time…" by USA Today, was the #1 most-added song in the adult urban radio format in its first week and will be performed by the Original 7ven on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno this Thursday. It is the first single off the band's new album, Condensate, which debuted in the iTunes Top 10 Soul Albums chart last week.
