Upon hearing the"Gaslight" promo, I'll admit to not being entirely motivated towards the new sound, but Eric Leeds has almost single-handedly propelled this album to the forefront of the intended audience.
*This is not to detract from Susannah's timeless vocal contribution to the Xperience. She sings with all the brevity that was her presence in the Purple music that I've encountered.
Paul Peterson (St. Paul) obviously contributes nostalgia to the effort, but unless he's the arranger that Jelly Bean Johnson is - I'd say he's coming along for the ride, even if he took lead in the production.
