(First, sorry I can't remember if you've given your real name.)

I was thinking about this, and I think that one or two years of free rent would be appropriate. That is, the amount that you pay out of pocket for rent in the course of a year or two. It depends somewhat on how much you pay out of pocket. I think $8000 isn't a whole lot of money considering how long you have been a tenant and all the stress and aggravation they have caused. Have you had more seizures than usual because of the added stress? I'd consider those things when deciding on the monetary amount you are going to request.
