Re: [epilepsy] thanks!

I know exactly what you mean Christine.  I get that same metallic taste too.  For me, it doesn't really feel like time has skipped but like time is at a dead standstill.  I also become really aware of my surroundings; an overwhelming sense of spatial awareness.  Sometimes, usually after the seizure, my surroundings look distorted and/or out of place, and I feel really small.

I'm interested in this too because most of the time I have auras. Sometimes they are like what you described below, other times it's like being really full, like I'm standing outside my body, a metallic taste in my mouth, a smell that's out of place, or feeling like time skipped (I know that sounds weird but I don't know how else to describe it).

Hello Michelle,
You mentioned that Aaron has partial seizures.  What are his auras like?  What does he discribe them as?  Just curious.  I have partial seizures too.  Mine always start as a nauseating rising epigastric sensation.  It kind of feels like I'm falling; just a really strange feeling in my gut.
