Hello Nelson,
I'm not sure what you mean by the "Flu Bug". Do you mean the Flu Vaccine?
I have gotten this through work for a number of years, and was told to ask
my doctor if it was ok to take the vaccine. He always said yes. I have
never heard that it was not effective for people with Epilepsy. The concern
was more that the vaccine would cause an interaction with the anti-seizure
medication. I don't remember what component they were concerned with.
If you are talking about getting the Flu, then it could be as harmful to the
an individual with epilepsy to someone without. When the vaccine was
available to me I took it. I have gotten the Flu several times, and it put
me out of action for 5-7 days, but I got through it.
Hope this helps,
Robert M.
